They're not worthless... They were always about ~800g tops.

I got a person buy 50 Cores for 35K within the first minute of "WTS 50 Destroyer Cores 35K"

I've had lots of fun with the Conjure Nightmare variation of this. I actually dropped Empathy for [skill]Aura of Restoration[/skill] so that the few times when I just missed refreshing Stoneflesh Aura, I had a way to heal myself backup fairly quickly. It aint quick, but I enjoyed it, and I can see those gloves hanging tantalisingly closer than they were last week.

Ok i've been trying these builds and it's working ok. The only problem I'm having is keeping them from attacking the dragon. Is there anything I should be doing other than stand in the center because I can never manage by myself. I've only been able to take one side of wave 1 while I flag heroes/henchies at the other side. I'd really like to get a bigger haul.

Thanks.

If you're using the OP's build solo, look on the radar at where the gates are that the destroyers come through. If you imagine drawing two straight lines from where the dragon is to each of the gates, your aggro circle should be touching both (which is roughly in the middle of the dwarf archers). If you stay put until the last mob arrives at 3:10 you'll have them all aggro'd nicely.

I'm not sure I get using conjure nightmare for killing them one by one when you can use stone daggers from your primary attribute. I found using stone daggers with aura of restoration to heal up from vengeful weapon, it takes roughly 18 minutes to kill all of the first wave individually, yielding around 9-10 cores. Pretty much the same drops over time when compared to 2-3 cores for a ~6 minute run, but a change is still nice.

48 cores to go...

Use your brain kid, Destroyer Cores are wanted very much in the same way shards and ectos are wanted. Lots of people farm them but they're still worth a something and will stay like that

This thread is no different from the original 55 UW or FoW Spider run threads

Thanks Moth

My problem was that I didn't wait for all of them to aggro before attacking them. I got the hang of it now.

Well it wont work like the OP's build, but you can bring in 1 or 2 cores every 2 minutes, for us dervishes . I had this in my template loads, and found it works over here too if you know how to use it somewhat properly.

D/Mo Skills:

Vow of Silence (E)
Victorious Sweep
Mystic Sweep
Conviction
Mystic Regeneration
Mystic Vigor
Balthazar's Spirit
Pious Haste

Attributes (if any left over, put into scythe):

11 Scythe Mastery
8 Earth Prayers
11 Mysticism

Ok at beginning just run in as far as you can on the right side with pious haste and when it reaches 10 seconds to start stop using haste. When it starts, use balthazar's spirit, and when a destroyer gets close, chuck up your enchants and conviction. Basically just kill and kill with atk skills, until vow wears off so then chuck up mystic regen and then vow again quickly enough so a spirit rift can't get up. When the vow ends again use vigor then vow, etc etc. The game will end at about 1:50 when the dragon dies, so you should kill be able to kill enough destroyers to get 1 or 2 cores. It's not as efficient, but still brings in a little cash.

I'm actually using the same build to farm around the first level of Cathedral of Flame for diessa chalices with the quest Temple of the Damned and i usually have to kill a few charrs and it works great, however there is a tiny bit of interupts and bleeding. So look out

Armor of Earth isn't really necessary for me... i take 0 dmg with just obsid flesh/stoneflesh aura... (am using a shield -2 dmg while enchanted though)

(e/mo version, so i just took out armor of earth and put both crystal wave and tenai's crystals in there again)

With a hero bonder and some tweaks you can finish all of Cathedral of Flames:

Took about four hours to finish, killing almost all of the groups along the way. Not really worth it if you just want the end chest, but I did get a diessa chalice and two encrypted charr battle plans.

Mantra of resolve keeps you safe from the charr seekers and their interrupts, the enchanted daggers can still be a pain because of their disrupting stab so when facing them aggro as much as possible to spike them out with sliver armour.

edit: just seen a guy in the district saying he finished it solo. E/A so I'd guess it's the usual shadow form and sliver armour build, needs investigating...

Tried the use of degen to kill each destroyer one by one, good find, loot is good worth the time to degen one by one to death, nice amounts of destroyer core drops per run, however, for me, its too slow for my liking

I'll work on other professions to see if they can possibly farm destroyers solo, but have to get them there first, which takes a bit
I'm using the same build posted at the begining but replacing the crystals. The fist with archane echo (to duplicate sliver armor) and the second for aftershock due its faster recharge time. I only kill with sliver (except the last 2 destroyers which are easier to kill with arcane+aftershock), to ensure a higher drop, and im getting about 12 drops in runs of 5 minutes. That's the real matter of this, getting a quite high drop rate because the number of cores its only a luck problem. Think about it in this way: each drop u get could be a core.

I dont know if this has been brought up somewhere else but this build works wonders to farm Spectra Vaettir in hard mode. There are always 60 vaettir in the spawn location, it's an easy run without running skills.

Granted, glacial stones arent as valuable as cores but they're more of a side perk to all the req9 weapons that drop there. not to mention this weekend every run nets 5-10 treat bags.

Far eastern side of Jaga Moiraine, by the zone to Bjora Marches. While you can get there without a run skill, in HM I like to take a little Storm Djinn's Haste just to be sure, cause there's a lot of nasties on the way out there. Excellent farming once you make it to the Vaettirs though. 5-6 Glacials per run, and the best part is you can just zone to Bjora and re-zone without having to make the run from Sifhalla again.

Actually if you run over from Longeye's instead the run is far easier even in HM... you could do it half asleep. No running skill necessary at all.

I'll have to try that. In HM the run through Jaga can be a bit sketchy.
